The Kokoro - Our February 2022 Bold Style

It seems apt to me that we follow the new year with a month dedicated to love. While most view February and Valentine’s day solely for couples, love comes in many shapes and sizes.

This month the bold design is inspired by my love for my mom. When I was a kid, my mom would gather up the prettiest cards from the holidays and sit with me to make them into small origami boxes that we could hide trinkets or candy in. The rigid geometric shapes of the box transposed the card illustrations into a fun bold pattern which I wanted to emulate here. These socks remind me of a special moment spent with someone I love, as I hope they will for you and those you cherish in your heart be they friends, pets, significant others, or family.

The Story About Our February 2022 Socks:

Our February Socks of the Month were designed around the notion of love and what constitutes it. Simply put, love is complex, yet beautiful. Love goes beyond just couples and partners; you can have love for your friends, family, and furry friends. Love can also be applied to principles, beliefs, and activities. However, most importantly, love starts with you, and the ability to love yourself and all that you are. A simple concept, yet difficult for many to achieve. I hope that when you wear these socks, they act as a reminder that you are loved and that you love yourself.
