The Tillery - our July 2022 Classic Style

Happy 10th Anniversary Sock Club! What is more appropriate for our birthday month than putting our bread and butter on the thing we do best? We love a meta moment. We started out as just a sock subscription and have now expanded far beyond just that.

The Waller is named after the street of our first ever Sock Club office in Austin, TX.

We’re excited that we get to share a small piece of our history with you and we hope you’re just as excited to be a part of it.

And no, we’re not running out of ideas. Be sure to show these bad boys to all your friends and family and let them know you are a subscriber to the first sock subscription company out there!

The Story About Our July 2022 Socks:

This is a very special month for us, as we celebrate our 10th Anniversary of Sock Club. We wouldn’t be where we are today without each and every one of you supporting us, so we wanted to start off by saying thank you!

Taking a look back at where we started, it was right here with our sock subscription. Dane and Noah (along with a few friends that were okay with being paid in beer) did all the customer service, packed all of the subscriptions, and sourced all the socks. When a few more people joined the team (this time with actual paychecks instead of beer), that same scrappy never-not-my-job attitude was instrumental to making sure that a few more people could join the team, and a few more people could get our socks.

We began with a service where individuals could receive a sock every month, but it grew into something much bigger- a community of individuals that shared a love for awesome socks. That love grew into wanting to share our socks with others and transformed our sock subscription into a way for people to connect. Each month, people connect over our subscription socks around the world, whether they are sharing photos of the new fun design, calling to share the story behind the sock, being stopped by a stranger to check out their cool socks, or even just giving a simple thank you to whoever gifted them.

If you received these socks as a gift, we encourage you to pick up the phone and let whoever gifted them to you know you’re thinking of them, maybe even share the story behind your sock (found through scanning the QR code). Transforming a product like socks, to be a pathway to communicate with loved ones and others around you, is the beauty of what our subscription has turned into.

July’s socks highlight Sock Club and our community of sock lovers with each yarn thread and pair of socks created to live out experiences. Whether you received these as a gift and are sending a photo to whoever gifted them to you, or you put on your new pair ready to take on the day, just know that every subscriber has a unique experience in these socks.
